Hello and welcome to Librarian At Home. As the tagline says, this blog is about books, interior design, and basically anything else that strikes my fancy in terms of fashion, style or nerd stuff. I am a librarian and a teacher (basically the ultimate nerd), but I’ve always loved interior design, so Librarian At Home was born. Posts will feature my own home, books I’m reading, nerd stuff I’m buying (or at least dreaming about owning), etc. There will be at least one post dedicated to shelving books, because honestly, how could I not?
My style is a mix of boho, farmhouse minimalism, and a dash of funky 60s and 70s mod thrown in. Plus geek stuff. If that sounds weird and unworkable, it often is! Achieving the right balance can be tricky, but the end result is a space that is totally me. So join me on this decorating adventure, and I hope you will be inspired to be bold and daring in your own home, whatever that looks like for you!
This is my second attempt at a home/lifestyle blog. I will be moving most of the posts from my old one over here, and then we’ll move forward on a flexible schedule, very slowly but surely. The old blog died because I was frantically trying to get done with grad school and I couldn’t spare any time for it. With this one, I hope I will be able to dedicate a little more time, but I’m not going to guarantee regular updates. I’d rather under-promise and over-deliver, as my car mechanic likes to say. Please do subscribe to be notified about new posts, and bear with me as I get this blog off the ground.
P.S. You might see the author of each post credited as “biblionna.” Which is me. I have a professional development blog, biblionna.com, which is my original blog baby. This one is the little sister. If you are more interested in education, library, and media literacy topics, please take a look over there!
